We're looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and trustworthy Household & Estate Assistant to help care for a beautiful Victorian country estate.
This is a varied, hands-on role that combines household management with practical estate support. No two days are the same, making it ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and keeping everything running smoothly.
You will work alongside an established gardener, so this is not a gardening role. Instead, you'll become an integral part of the day-to-day operation of both the home and the business that operates from the estate.

- Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care.
- Changing bed linen and preparing guest bedrooms.
- Keeping kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces immaculate.

Estate Support
- Receiving deliveries and organising parcels.
- Monitoring the property and reporting maintenance issues.

- Refilling firewood, kindling and other household essentials.
- Basic practical tasks such as assembling furniture, hanging pictures and changing light bulbs.
- Liaising with tradespeople when required.

- Grocery shopping and sourcing household items.
- Taking parcels to couriers.
- Collecting guests from nearby railway stations.
- Taking company or household vehicles for servicing, MOTs and valeting.
- General errands as required.
Business Support
As the estate also serves as a business headquarters, you may occasionally assist by:
- Preparing meeting rooms.
- Ensuring office areas remain presentable.
- Assisting with hospitality for visiting clients and investors.
- Helping set up and pack down for events held at the estate.
About You

- The ability to work independently and use your initiative.
- A practical mindset and willingness to tackle a variety of tasks.
- A full UK driving licence.
- The right to work in the UK.
Experience within private households, boutique hotels, luxury hospitality, estates or similar environments would be advantageous but isn't essential. Above all, we're looking for someone dependable, hardworking and personable who enjoys becoming a valued part of a growing team.
