Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing excellent service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions efficiently using point-of-sale systems while managing basic math calculations
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light bites when needed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service for all guests
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to uphold high standards of food safety
Experience
- Prior experience as a barista or in a customer service role is required
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure hygiene and quality standards are met
- Serving experience that demonstrates strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks gracefully
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing inventory when necessary
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques is a plus but can be learned on the job
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours and maintain efficiency
