Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Nurse to join our team, providing high-quality care and education to children in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education and a strong ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage daily nursery activities while fostering a safe and stimulating atmosphere for young learners.
Duties
- Provide attentive care and support to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with early years frameworks.
- Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, sharing updates with parents as necessary.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to create a welcoming nursery environment.
- Support the leadership team in maintaining high standards of care and education within the nursery setting.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the overall nursery experience for children and families.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a calm demeanour.
- A genuine passion for childcare and early childhood education.
- Leadership qualities that inspire confidence among colleagues and children alike.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
