About the Role
This is a part-time position, working 15 hours per week across Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
As our Housekeeper, you will play an important role in ensuring our home remains clean, comfortable, and welcoming for our residents, visitors, and staff. You will help maintain our high standards of cleanliness while treating every resident with dignity and respect.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning residents' bedrooms and communal areas to an exceptional standard.
- Washing, drying, and caring for residents' personal clothing and bedding.
- Following infection prevention and control procedures at all times to help maintain a safe, hygienic environment and reduce the risk of infection.
- Using cleaning products and equipment safely and in accordance with COSHH regulations and health and safety policies.
- Ensuring all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.
- Identifying and reporting any maintenance, health and safety, or infection control concerns.
- Working closely with colleagues to provide a warm, safe, and person-centred environment for our residents.
About You
We're looking for someone who is proactive, caring, and passionate about delivering excellent standards.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Housekeeper or Laundry Assistant (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- A good understanding of infection prevention and control practices within a care environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including COSHH.
- A friendly, caring, and positive attitude.
- The ability to build positive relationships with residents, their families, and colleagues.
- An understanding of the care sector (desirable).
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
