We are looking for a friendly, compassionate, and proactive Female Support Worker to join a dedicated team providing support to a lady with a spinal cord injury in London, E3.
She lives at home with her husband and two young children, and your role will be to support her in living life to the fullest by helping make each day enjoyable, fulfilling, and meaningful. She leads an active lifestyle and enjoys spending time outdoors, so we're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, adaptable, and keen to support her interests.
As part of delivering person-centred support, you will help maintain a clean, organised and well-presented home in line with the client's preferences and routines. The ideal candidate will enjoy housekeeping tasks, have excellent attention to detail and take pride in maintaining consistently high standards.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a committed and dynamic care team. Previous experience supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries is beneficial but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Roles Available:

Part Time- 1 shift per week
Shift Patterns:
- Each shift starts at 9am working until 11am the next day, and includes a sleepover in a dedicated room at the client's home

Bank Holidays and weekend work form part of the rota
Pay Rates:
- £16.00 per hour weekday day rate

£17.00 per hour weekend day rate
-
£80.00 per night sleepover rate

Double time for Bank Holidays

£1.00 per hour less during probationary period
Role Responsibilities:
- Providing personal care and medication support
-
Supporting with daily living tasks and maintaining a clean, organised and well-presented home

Carrying our household duties to a consistently high standard, including laundry, ironing, cleaning and general organisation

Accompanying the client on outings and occasional family holidays

Accurately completing electronic care records and communicating effectively with colleagues

Job Purpose: To support your client with their day-to-day living, promoting their independence and supporting them to live a fulfilled life ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
Internal and Management: This role will report to the Registered Manager
Key Duties/Responsibilities of our Support Worker:
Supporting your client to safely lead a fulfilling and more independent life by:

Provide practical support for your client and their family, such as helping with personal care, household tasks and paperwork

Assist and encourage your client to engage in everyday home, social, leisure and work activities, according to the individual's choice

Support and monitor your client's healthcare needs, including administering medication and other clinical tasks

Help your clients to access community facilities and be included in community groups, if they so wish

Understand their communication needs and adapt your own communication style accordingly

Keep accurate, up to date records of all the care you provide

Work positively with other professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to ensure consistency of support

Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times

Participate in learning and development opportunities as required
