About Us
Women's Pioneer Housing own almost 1000 properties in eight boroughs in west and north-west London: Kensington & Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham, Camden, Ealing, Wandsworth, Hillingdon, Harrow, and Westminster. 80% are studio and one-bedroom flats, mostly in converted Victorian buildings, many of which are listed or in conservation areas. There are also 90 leasehold flats, and a small but growing number of higher rental investment properties that fund our future development plans. Our sheltered housing for single women over 60 is located in Kensington & Chelsea, where we are the largest sheltered housing provider. We have 178 flats for women over 60 who wish to live independently in their own home but with added security and back-up support on site and on call.

The role of Tenancy Sustainment and Safeguarding Coordinator is essential to the success of Women's Pioneer Housing.
This pivotal role ensures the effective delivery of our sheltered housing service for older women, maintaining high standards of service, resident wellbeing and safeguarding across the organisation. As part of our team, you will lead on housing management in the schemes, safeguarding and oversee financial inclusion, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
Working within a smaller organisation, you will have the opportunity to shape policies and contribute to strategic decision-making. You will lead a team, manage complex housing cases and build strong partnerships with local support services to enhance resident outcomes.
We are looking for an experienced housing professional with a strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and statutory responsibilities, a passion for making a difference and a proven track record in delivering person-centered services. Strong leadership skills, excellent communication and a commitment to collaborative working are essential.
Purpose of the Role

To oversee the association's sheltered housing service for older women, ensuring excellent service delivery, and the well-being and safety of all residents.

To deliver an exceptional housing management service to a patch of sheltered schemes by working in conjunction with Estate Services Officers and Sheltered Scheme Managers through a strong focus on performance, customer service, and resident involvement.

To support the Director of Operations in delivering the Resident Engagement Strategy particularly as it refers to older women.

To lead across general needs housing on inclusion cases.

To contribute to the strategic operation of the middle management team (MMT) and extended management team (EMT).

To lead on safeguarding across WPH and supporting the wellbeing of residents.

To oversee the sheltered housing service, promoting collaborative working, setting and monitoring targets and standards to achieve both high levels of resident satisfaction and an efficient and inclusive service.

To deliver comprehensive housing management services to sheltered housing schemes, including rent collection and recovery, ASB, tenancy enforcement and void management.

To maintain the health and safety of the Older Women's Housing service through line management of Scheme Managers, working closely with the compliance manager.

To keep up to date (for self and team) with legislation and best practice across sheltered housing and support services.

To lead on partnership development with local statutory and non-statutory support providers enabling our residents to gain access, for example debt advice, employment support.

To lead on Safeguarding across the organisation.

Support the Director of Operations to deliver the Resident Engagement Strategy.

Manage the Financial Inclusion service through line management of the Financial Inclusion Officer.

Lead on complex cases including rehousing needs for those who are overcrowded or ready to move on to supported housing.

To contribute to work on tenant insight, both qualitative and quantitative, including data collection and analysis.

To contribute to tenant feedback by seeking the views of tenants through a variety of means to better inform service delivery and tenant satisfaction.

Location: We operate a hybrid working approach where you are welcome to work in in the office, at home, or on site based on your activities. On Tuesdays, all staff attend the office to promote collaboration. Staff are required to be in the office at least two days a week.

Flexi Time Working: For most staff we enable flexible working patterns within our formal flexi time working arrangement. Additional hours worked can be accrued to be taken at a later date in periods of whole days (up to 2 days every four weeks) or half days. This can equate to up to 26 days leave per year in addition to your annual leave entitlement.
