We are currently looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our busy and friendly kitchen team assisting the Head Chef with all aspects of kitchen management.
Garvock House Hotel is a family run, boutique hotel in the heart of historic Dunfermline. Our restaurant is popular with residents and locals, running an a la carte menu highlighting fresh produce. As well as catering for small intimate private parties to larger events up to 150 covers. Dishes are made freshly on the premises and the team take pride in their food and presentation.
This is a unique opportunity for a chef who is hands on and enjoys working with a dedicated team. As Sous Chef, you will be involved in running all sections of the kitchen, helping to maintain our high standards of quality and presentation
Responsibilities:
- Working with the senior chefs and the kitchen team to prepare and execute the restaurants' menus
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, taste and presentation.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering.
- Ensure kitchen hygiene and safety standards are strictly ahered to
- Contribute to menu development and innovation.
Requirements:
-Restaurant & banqueting experience
- SVQ Qualifications
- Menu creation
-Pastry/ Baking Experience preferred
-Stock control, budgeting and ordering
