ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring that inbound and outbound operations are completed safely, accurately and efficiently.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, proactive and takes pride in doing the small things well. You will need excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly as our business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the warehouse team, including allocating tasks and managing on-shift priorities.
- Oversee accurate order picking, packing, stock rotation and the correct handling of products.
- Receive incoming deliveries and verify quantities and products against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Ensure all incoming stock is accepted, signed for and entered into the stock control system promptly and accurately.
- Inspect deliveries and report any damages, shortages or discrepancies as soon as possible.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock checks, cycle counts and stock reconciliation.
- Organise and store goods in designated locations, ensuring products are clearly labelled, accessible and rotated using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
- Ensure stock is put away safely and efficiently, leaving warehouse and office areas clean and tidy.
- Ensure all orders are picked and packed accurately and prepared appropriately for safe transportation.
- Maintain a clean, organised and hazard-free warehouse environment.
- Ensure all required Health & Safety checks are completed and that safe working practices are consistently followed.
- Work closely with the Inventory Manager to identify and resolve stock-related issues.
- Respond to warehouse-related emails and queries promptly and professionally.
- Support the delivery of team development activities, including e-learning and face-to-face training, ensuring learning is completed and demonstrated in practice.
- Report any stock shortages, breakages or discrepancies promptly.
We're looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or stock control environment.
- Experience supervising, coordinating or delegating work to a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Experience with stock keeping and procurement.
- Basic computer literacy and confidence using systems and email.
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage changing priorities.
- A proactive approach and willingness to take responsibility.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- The physical ability to lift, carry and move items of varying weights safely.
Schedule: Monday to Friday - 8am - 5pm
Desirable Experience
- Forklift licence or previous forklift experience — not essential, but desirable.
- Previous merchandising experience.
- Experience working with inventory or stock management systems.
