Our products are trusted in commercial venues, professional tournaments, and homes throughout the UK and Europe. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to help lead our warehouse and dispatch operations.
The SAM Leisure team consists of 15 staff members, with 3 of those working directly within the Warehouse Team.
Role details
Job title: Warehouse Manager
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7.30am - 4pm or 9.00am-5pm (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: Competitive salary, based on the successful candidate’s skill set and experience.
Location: Office-based (CV4 8AU)

Role Overview
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring excellent organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to motivate and support a small warehouse team. The Warehouse Manager owns the warehouse KPIs and is accountable for monitoring, reporting, and improving operational performance across the department.
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day warehouse and dispatch operations, ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and dispatched on time. The role involves supervising warehouse staff, maintaining stock accuracy, enforcing health and safety standards, and supporting the efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day warehouse, dispatch, and stock control operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and high service standards.
- Manage and develop the warehouse team, including allocating workloads, monitoring performance, providing training, and conducting regular reviews.
- Champion the company's values and ensure they are consistently reflected in the team's behaviours and ways of working.
- Ensure all customer orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Take ownership of inventory management, including stock accuracy, cycle counts, investigations, and stock replenishment processes.
- Oversee goods-in operations, ensuring all deliveries are checked, recorded, and stored correctly.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency, productivity, and customer service.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations, company procedures, and best warehouse practices.
- Monitor warehouse KPIs and report on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Coordinate courier and freight operations, resolving any delivery or dispatch issues promptly.
- Support the planning and scheduling of warehouse resources to meet business demands and seasonal peaks.
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and Purchasing teams to ensure stock availability and fulfilment priorities are achieved.
- Assist with the handling and dispatch of larger products, including pool tables and other leisure equipment, when required.
- Maintain accurate warehouse records, documentation, and system updates, including invoicing and stock transactions.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience in a Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Team Leader, or similar senior warehouse role.
- Experience managing and developing warehouse staff.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, dispatch, stock control, and logistics processes.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and warehouse/stock management systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Forklift licence or experience operating warehouse equipment.
Desirable
- Experience working with courier and freight providers.
- Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse performance metrics.
- Experience implementing process improvements and operational efficiencies.
