Operating from a 7,700sq.ft facility in Consett County Durham Ashgarth Engineering specialise in the manufacture of volume precision machined components, however, there is also a need to produce low volume production runs when required.
With significant growth and investment over the last 8 years an exiting role now exists in the CNC Milling section for a passionate individual who is looking to move their career up to the next level.
The role will involve but not be limited to.
· Leading a small team of CNC machinists.
· Overseeing and ensuring machines are kept efficiently running.
· Working closely with the Operations Director to ensure the production plan is followed.
· Working with the Production Engineers to ensure all machines have materials, tools, and fixtures ready for the next job.
· Dealing with all day to day to issues on the shopfloor.
· Running various CNC mills.
· Ensuring the workshop is kept clean and tidy.
· Work with Production Engineers to support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
· Previous experience of leading a shopfloor team within an engineering manufacturing environment (desirable).
· CNC milling – Setting and running.
· A background in manufacturing and production shopfloor engineering.
· Can work on own initiative.
· Attention to detail is critical.
· Working on Fanuc based Machines, Doosan, HAAS, Matsuura.
· 5th Axis experience (desirable).
This is a Day Shift Role is based on 37 hours per week.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7.30am – 4.00pm and Friday 7.30am – 1pm
Reporting Lines: Reporting to Operations Director
Holiday Entitlement: You will receive a paid statutory holiday entitlement of 25 days plus Bank Holidays during a complete holiday year.
