Mini Athletics SE Wales is looking for an enthusiastic Lead Coach to run our children's sports classes in the SE Wales area on a Saturday and/or Sunday morning and also to lead afterschool clubs. If you’re looking for a FUN Part Time Job working with children, we want you!
Classes are based in the following locations; Bassaleg, Caerphilly, Lisvane, Radyr, Penarth, Pontyclun
Mini Athletics delivers sports classes to children from as soon as they can walk up to 8 years old, focusing on the fundamental athletic skills of running, throwing and jumping. We're looking for an exciting and enthusiastic Activity Leader/Lead Coach to lead weekend morning sessions and afterschool clubs. Full training and lesson plans are provided.
We run weekday and weekend classes, after school sessions, holiday camps and birthday parties, so there is scope to increase working hours for the successful candidate if wanted.
This is a great opportunity for someone who would like part time work in a rewarding job inspiring young children to have a positive introduction to sport.
Requirements:
- MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN UK
- Must have driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Must be available weekend mornings and some afternoons

Responsibilities
Delivering all aspects of our Mini Athletics sessions including welcoming athletes and parents and following the Mini Athletics lesson plan using equipment and apparatus provided.
Skills and attributes
- Someone who is passionate about inspiring young children and who has a positive, can do attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- A confident, enthusiastic, reliable and organised person
- Although a coaching qualification and experience is an advantage, it is not essential as full training will be provided
Qualifications/Certifications
Paediatric First Aid, Child Safeguarding and an up to date Enhanced DBS are essential for the job but we have course providers for these and will assist with obtaining these certifications.
