Domestic Cleaner – Flexible Hours | £15–£20 per hour
Job Summary
Olive & Oak Cleaning is looking for reliable, friendly and detail-focused cleaners to join our growing team, providing high-quality cleaning services across Cambridge and the surrounding areas.
Our work includes regular domestic cleaning, deep cleans, end-of-tenancy cleans, oven cleaning and carpet cleaning, giving you the opportunity to take on a varied range of cleaning assignments.

We offer flexible cleaning opportunities, allowing you to take on work that suits your availability.
Pay ranges from £15–£20 per hour depending on the type of clean and assignment, with our more intensive cleaning work attracting the higher rates.
This is a self-employed contractor position. You’ll have flexibility over the work you accept while delivering the high standards of service our clients expect from Olive & Oak Cleaning.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Carrying out regular domestic cleaning in clients’ homes
- Completing deep cleans
- Completing end-of-tenancy cleans
- Oven cleaning
- Carpet cleaning
- Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- Dusting, vacuuming and mopping
- Cleaning and sanitising surfaces
- Cleaning mirrors, sinks, showers and bathroom fittings
- Detailed kitchen cleaning, including cupboards and appliances where required
- Carrying out more intensive cleaning tasks for deep and end-of-tenancy cleans
- Following the individual requirements of each cleaning assignment
- Maintaining excellent attention to detail and consistently high cleaning standards
- Treating clients’ homes, belongings and privacy with care and respect
- Arriving reliably and punctually for accepted assignments
- Communicating with clients in a friendly, professional and respectful manner
Experience & What We’re Looking For
- Previous professional cleaning experience is preferred
- Experience with deep cleaning or end-of-tenancy cleaning would be an advantage
- Experience with oven or carpet cleaning would also be an advantage
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- Excellent attention to detail
- Takes genuine pride in their work
- Able to work independently and manage their own time
- Friendly and professional manner
- Comfortable working in clients’ homes
- Able to travel to cleaning assignments across Cambridge and surrounding areas
- Able to provide your own cleaning equipment and products
- Able to meet Olive & Oak Cleaning’s contractor onboarding requirements
