Kitchen Porter/ Kitchen Assistant
We are looking for a dedicated, energetic, and dependable Kitchen Porter to join our close-knit team.

As a valued member of our kitchen team, you'll be at the heart of delivering the exceptional standards our reputation is built upon. You'll ensure kitchens, equipment, and service areas are maintained to the highest standard, support food preparation where required, and work alongside our chefs to keep service running smoothly. While much of your work takes place behind the scenes, your contribution is fundamental to the success of every wedding and event we host.
Working hours and salary
- Salary up to £29,500
- Working a 5-day week- including weekends (2 consecutive day off per week)
- Full-time annualised hours contract based on 1,950 hours per year (average 37.5 hours per week).
- Working hours vary throughout the year in line with our wedding and events calendar.
- During our busiest summer months, you may work up to 49 hours per week.
- During quieter winter periods, weekly hours may be reduced, providing additional time off while maintaining your contracted annual salary.
- Rotas are planned in advance wherever possible to support work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Daily cleaning of the kitchen and a weekly deep clean to a high standard
- Wash up pots, pans, cooking utensils and kitchen equipment in a timely manner
- Keep a well organised kitchen equipment storage system
- Maintaining high standards of workstation tidiness
- Flexible and willing to help other departments at busy times if required
- Some heavy lifting will be involved
- Help to label and store food deliveries correctly
- Assist the chefs with preparation of food
- Adherence to health & safety and hygiene
