Salary: £33,600 per annum
Hours: Full-time
Shifts: 1 weekend on / 1 weekend off, with participation in the on-call rota 1–2 days per week
Shift Times: Early: 7:00am–2:30pm | Late: 2:30pm–10:00pm | Long Day: 7:00am–10:00pm
Please note: We do not hold licences to support overseas candidates. You must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Senior Residential Support Worker within a children’s residential setting.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a well-established children’s residential home in Fareham, supporting children and young people with learning difficulties and challenging behaviours.
This role is suitable for candidates commuting from Fareham, Portsmouth, Gosport, Wickham, Portchester, Southampton, Waterlooville and surrounding areas.
As an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in leading shifts and ensuring children and young people receive safe, consistent and person-centred care. You will act as a positive role model for the wider team, supporting and mentoring junior staff while helping to maintain a safe, stable and nurturing home environment.
You will be responsible for supporting individual care plans, maintaining safeguarding standards, completing delegated responsibilities and working closely with families and external professionals. You will also support the management team with regulatory compliance and participate in the on-call rota.

- NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a children’s residential setting
- Experience supporting children and young people with learning difficulties and challenging behaviours
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong communication, leadership and mentoring skills
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK without sponsorship
- £17.26 per hour
- Overtime paid at £20.73 per hour
- £51 per sleep-in
- Sleep-ins available on an ad-hoc basis
- Rota provided 6 weeks in advance
