Baker Street Nursery & Preschool in Yate is looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and dedicated Toddler Room Leader to join our team.
We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion for working with toddlers, understands how important the early years are, and can create a warm, engaging and nurturing environment where children feel safe, confident and excited to learn.
About the role
As our Toddler Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the toddler room, supporting your team and ensuring that every child receives outstanding care, learning and development opportunities.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and supporting the toddler room team
- Creating an exciting, stimulating and nurturing learning environment
- Planning and delivering engaging activities based on children's interests and development
- Supporting children's individual learning and development
- Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, care and wellbeing
- Completing observations, assessments and planning in line with the EYFS
- Supporting and mentoring other members of the team
- Helping to maintain a positive, welcoming and professional nursery environment
What we're looking for
We are looking for someone who has:
- Knowledge of the EYFS and child development
- Experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally with toddlers
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- Confidence in leading and supporting a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A caring, enthusiastic and positive approach
- The ability to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
- A commitment to providing high-quality care and learning
- A desire to develop professionally and progress within Early Years
