We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and reliable Full-Time Sales Assistant to join our team at Pitter Patter Nursery Store. This is a customer-focused role where you'll help expectant and new parents choose the right products for their growing families while providing outstanding customer service.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, enjoy working with people and be passionate about delivering a first-class shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide expert advice on prams, car seats, nursery furniture, feeding products, toys and baby essentials.
- Demonstrate products and explain features and benefits confidently.
- Process sales, refunds and exchanges using the till system.
- Maintain excellent product knowledge through regular training.
- Ensure the shop floor is clean, organised and well stocked at all times.
- Create attractive product displays and merchandising throughout the store.
- Receive, unpack and replenish deliveries.
- Assist with stock control and regular stock takes.
- Support customers with orders, reservations and after-sales enquiries.
- Promote current offers, finance options and baby club services where appropriate.
- Assist with social media content by taking photos, videos or helping create engaging posts when required.
- Follow company procedures relating to health & safety, security and customer service.
- You will be required to work 5 days per week which include Saturdays.
Skills & Experience:
Essential
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, approachable and professional attitude.
- Confident using computers and point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and willing to work Saturdays.
- Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
Desirable
- Experience within baby, nursery or furniture retail.
- Knowledge of prams, travel systems and car seat safety.
- Experience creating content for social media.
