Tramp Members' Club is seeking an exceptional, polished and personable Host/Hostess to join our Front of House team. As the first point of contact for our members and their guests, you will be instrumental in delivering the warm, discreet and personalised welcome for which Tramp is renowned.
This is a key role within one of London's most iconic private members' clubs, requiring an individual who is passionate about luxury hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the importance of impeccable service, attention to detail and confidentiality. You will work closely with the management and restaurant teams to ensure every member and guest enjoys a seamless and memorable experience from arrival through to departure.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome members and their guests with warmth, professionalism and genuine hospitality, creating an exceptional first impression.
- Manage reservations, arrivals and table allocations efficiently whilst prioritising member preferences and operational requirements.
- Liaise closely with Restaurant Managers, Reception, Concierge and Floor teams to ensure smooth guest flow and an exceptional member experience.
- Build lasting relationships with members by recognising returning guests, anticipating preferences and delivering a highly personalised service.
- Handle reservations, telephone enquiries and member requests with professionalism, efficiency and discretion.
- Manage waiting lists accurately and communicate expected wait times confidently and courteously.
- Respond promptly to member feedback, requests and concerns, resolving issues where possible or escalating appropriately.
- Ensure the host stand and reception area remain immaculate, organised and reflective of Tramp's exceptional standards.
- Coordinate VIP arrivals, special occasions and club events to ensure all arrangements are executed seamlessly.
- Support the wider Front of House operation during busy service periods and contribute to achieving the highest standards of hospitality.
- Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with members, guests and high-profile clientele.
- Uphold Tramp's service standards, policies and values at all times.
Skills, Experience & QualificationsEssential
- 3–5 years' experience as a Host/Hostess, Receptionist or Front of House professional within a private members' club, luxury five-star hotel, fine dining restaurant or premium hospitality venue.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional, personalised guest experiences.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with fluent spoken English.
- Impeccable personal presentation and a polished, professional manner.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and remain composed in a busy environment.
- Experience using reservation management systems such as SevenRooms, OpenTable or similar.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to anticipate member needs.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays in line with business requirements.
Desirable
- Previous experience within an exclusive London private members' club.
- Experience working with VIP, celebrity or high-profile clientele.
- Additional language skills.
- Knowledge of luxury food, beverage and fine dining service standards.

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
