Job Summary
Due to an increase in our customer portfolio, we are looking to expand our team. We're looking for someone to join our dynamic team as a C+E ADR Vacuum Tanker Driver, this role requires nights out away from home and occasional weekend work. Because we have new customers coming online in a short timescale we do require relevant experience in driving tankers.
In this vital role, you will operate specialised tankers to transport and deliver liquid waste and other bulk materials safely and efficiently. Your expertise in truck driving, route management, and vehicle handling will ensure smooth operations across various sites. Duties
- Safely operate C+E class tankers
- Manage routes efficiently, ensuring timely pick-up and delivery of liquid waste to and from designated locations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle and equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
- Maintain accurate details of, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Follow all route instructions precisely while adapting to changing conditions or unforeseen obstacles on the road.
- Communicate effectively with our planners and clients to coordinate deliveries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials if applicable, and promote a safety-first culture within the team.
Qualifications
- Valid C+E (Class 1 or equivalent) driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience driving tankers.
- Familiarity with handling tankers for transporting liquids or hazardous materials is highly desirable.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, precision, and punctuality.
- Physical ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and assist with loading/unloading activities as needed.
Rates of Pay
£14.50 per hour for the first 37.5 hours
£21.75 per hour after 40 hours
£29.00 per hour Sundays and Bank Holidays
Night out £26.60 Tax free
Lunch money £5.00 per day Tax free
