Contract Labour Solutions have a fantastic opportunity for a Site Manager to work with our client who is an established construction company that specialises in the commercial sector, with work taking place in the Abington area (ML12)
Pay: Starting @ £400p/n
Duration: 1 Month
Hours: Nights - 7pm till 7am
Role: Candidates will be completing the following tasks.
- Manage night shift site operations for a project involving drilling beneath a live railway, ensuring all works are completed safely and in accordance with the programme
- Lead and supervise a team of five operatives, allocating tasks and monitoring productivity throughout each shift
- Carry out regular progress checks to ensure work is completed to specification and identify any issues affecting programme or quality
- Conduct detailed handovers to the daytime Site Manager, providing updates on completed works, outstanding actions, and any site concerns
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, progress updates, and prompt resolution of site issues
- Maintain strict Health & Safety compliance, including monitoring RAMS, carrying out site inspections, ensuring safe systems of work, and enforcing company and client procedures
- Coordinate subcontractors, plant, and deliveries to maintain efficient site operations and minimise disruption to railway activities
- Complete daily site records, progress reports, permits, and quality inspections, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards while meeting all client and project requirements
Requirements: Candidates will need to show the following.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on retail or commercial construction projects
- Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card preferred), and First Aid at Work
- Strong understanding of fast-track fit-out programmes
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Strong focus on health & safety compliance
