The Diocese of Dunkeld, in conjunction with the National Schools Singing Programme (NSSP), seeks to appoint a children’s choir director to work in two Catholic primary schools in Perth City, commencing January 2027 (or earlier if available).
This is a new post, suitable for an ambitious and creative musician with exceptional gifts in working with young voices, and the desire and commitment to achieve the highest possible standards.
With a strong interest in promoting Catholic music, our children’s choir director will provide inspirational teaching through curriculum choral music lessons and the development of school choirs. These choirs, in time, will have the capacity to participate regularly in liturgy at parish and diocesan level.
Salary £7,500.00 (0.3FTE). This equates to approximately 11 hours per week, with 1 hour on a Sunday morning and 10 hours split between Monday and Tuesday.
