Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Motor Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for MOT Testing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of German & prestige vehicles including EV'S to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability.

Duties
- Perform detailed inspections of vehicles using schematics and technical manuals to identify issues accurately.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components efficiently.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, tyre rotations, and fluid checks to ensure vehicle longevity.
- Diagnose complex mechanical problems related to engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and other key components.
- Repair or replace faulty parts, ensuring all work adheres to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Assist with assembly of vehicle parts or accessories as needed for repairs or upgrades.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures clearly and offering maintenance advice.
- Handle heavy lifting safely when moving or installing large parts or equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used for each vehicle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams and formal qualifications. (City & Guilds or NVQ 3 + MOT Qualification)
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components, able to perform timing belt changes ,timing chain replacements and major strip outs.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience in performing routine maintenance as well as complex repairs on different types of motor vehicles.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to equipment repair and vehicle maintenance.

Pay: £38,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
