Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. Duties
- Prepare and dispense prescribed medications in accordance with healthcare regulations and pharmacy procedures
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness before dispensing
- Assist patients with medication queries and provide guidance on medication usage
- Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
- Support inventory management by stock checking and reordering supplies as needed
- Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care outcomes
- Support medication administration processes where applicable, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to protocols
Experience
- Previous pharmacy technician experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with dispensing procedures and medication management
- Knowledge of medication administration practices is advantageous
- Experience in patient care roles, particularly within healthcare or community settings, is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing and record keeping
- Strong communication skills to effectively assist patients and collaborate with healthcare teams
