Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Brickslip Installer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing brick slips on various structures, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in masonry and related trades to contribute to high-quality building projects. The position involves working on-site, often at heights or in confined spaces, requiring physical stamina and precision.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces and ensure they are clean and suitable for brickslip installation
- Measure and mark areas for accurate placement of brick slips
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised masonry equipment to fix brick slips securely
- Apply appropriate adhesives or mortar as specified in project plans
- Align and level brick slips to achieve a uniform appearance
- Assist with the maintenance and safe operation of tools and equipment
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters, roofers, or welders as needed on site
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during installation processes
Requirements
- Proven experience in bricklaying, masonry, or similar trades such as carpentry or roofing is preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised masonry equipment
- Knowledge of welding techniques is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces safely
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Physical fitness to undertake manual labour over extended periods
- Relevant safety certifications or willingness to undertake training as required
