Homes for Support is recruiting Children's Residential Support Workers to join our established and newly developing Residential Childcare teams in Crewe and Cheshire.
You'll work as part of a team supporting children and young people in a safe, nurturing, therapeutic environment - helping them build confidence, develop independence, and achieve positive outcomes.
2 days on / 4 days off – a structured rota with regular time off

You don't need to have worked in a children's home before.
We are looking for people who are reliable, resilient, caring, consistent, and able to build positive professional relationships with children and young people.
As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will:
Support children with daily routines and independence
Encourage education, activities, hobbies, and community participation
Support emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour
Help children develop confidence, resilience, and life skills
Complete daily digital records and contribute to care planning
Work closely with colleagues, families, and other professionals
Be a positive and consistent role model
Every day is different and the impact you make can last a lifetime.
We won't expect you to know everything on day one.
Our 12-week induction programme gives you the knowledge and practical skills needed to begin your career in Residential Childcare.
Training includes:
Safeguarding and child protection
Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015
Children's rights and participation
Trauma-informed and therapeutic care
Child development and attachment
Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour
Health and safety
Medication
Recording and reporting
Professional boundaries
Care planning and risk management
Physical intervention training
You'll receive ongoing management support, supervision, training and development throughout your first six months and beyond.
Where applicable, you'll also be supported to complete your Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.

Previous Residential Childcare experience is not essential. Full training is provided.
