About the Role
Nirvana Residential is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and motivated Residential Support Workers to join our team in an Ofsted-regulated Children's Residential Home.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people by providing a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where they can thrive, develop independence, and achieve positive outcomes.
The role is based on a monthly rota of 176 hours, typically consisting of 11 shifts plus sleep-ins.
Key Responsibilities
As a Residential Support Worker, you will:
- Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people.
- Support with daily routines, appointments, education, and recreational activities.
- Build positive, trusting relationships and provide emotional support.
- Act as a Key Worker, maintaining accurate records and completing reports.
- Promote independence, confidence, and the development of life skills.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people.
- Support the effective day-to-day running of the home.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, social workers, and other professionals.
Essential Requirements
Applicants MUST:
- Hold a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Residential Childcare.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Have access to their own vehicle.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
- Demonstrate a caring, resilient, and positive approach to supporting young people.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable
- Previous experience working within a children's residential care setting.
