Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will support pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. Duties
- Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and organising pharmaceutical supplies
- Provide courteous assistance to patients, answering queries and offering guidance on over-the-counter products
- Support medication administration procedures under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
- Providing added services as BP measurement,
- Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing prescriptions in strictly alphabetical order, retrieving prescriptions from our well organised system
- Cleaning stock, date checking and re merchandising stocks on a regular routine basis.
- Controlling stock in and out of our pharmacy.
Skills
- Prior experience as a pharmacy counter assistant or in a similar healthcare support role is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in handing over correct medicines to correct patient.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks efficiently
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adhering to regulatory standards
- The ability to answer telephone enquires efficiently whilst maintaining time .
- Organisation skills are important
