Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise designated areas within commercial premises, including offices, washrooms, and communal spaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and dust surfaces to maintain cleanliness standards
- Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and maintained properly
- Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents or hazards during cleaning tasks
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties to management
Skills
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not essential
- Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning of all areas
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in the early morning hours
- Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work
- Physical fitness to perform cleaning tasks which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning procedures is beneficial
