Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various locations. Duties
- Operate a HGV Class 2 lorry in compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
- Deliver goods to designated locations in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure that loads are secured correctly and safely before transit
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when required
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle at all times
- Adhere to scheduled routes and delivery times, ensuring customer satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar equipment
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for driving HGVs
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
- Ability to operate flatbeds safely and efficiently
- Good organisational skills to manage schedules and paperwork effectively
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude towards work responsibilities
