Leda Group is working with a respected main contractor to recruit an experienced Site Manager for a project within a live hospital environment in Ilford.
This is an excellent opportunity to oversee the installation of mechanical and electrical services on a technically demanding healthcare project, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to hospital operations.
The successful candidate will have previous experience managing M&E packages within live environments and be confident coordinating multiple subcontractors while maintaining the highest standards of Health & Safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of M&E installation works.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical and specialist subcontractors.
- Ensure works are completed safely, on programme and to specification.
- Maintain safe working practices within a live hospital environment.
- Carry out site inspections, quality checks and progress monitoring.
- Review and implement RAMS and permit-to-work systems.
- Chair daily briefings and subcontractor coordination meetings.
- Liaise with the client, consultants and hospital representatives.
- Monitor programme progress and resolve site issues proactively.
- Ensure all Health & Safety legislation and site procedures are fully adhered to.
About You
We're looking for someone who can confidently manage complex packages whilst maintaining excellent communication with all stakeholders.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Site Manager on M&E installation projects.
- Experience working within live healthcare or hospital environments.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.
- Excellent subcontractor management and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage programme deadlines.
- A proactive and collaborative management style.
- Strong Health & Safety knowledge.
