Konnect Communities, part of the Safer Futures partnership, is recruiting Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVAs) to deliver trauma‑informed, survivor‑led support across Cornwall.

What You’ll Do
In this fast‑paced, community‑based role, you will:
- Support adults and young people (13+) experiencing domestic abuse.
- Complete risk and needs assessments and develop personalised safety plans.
- Provide emotional support, practical guidance and clear information on rights and options.
- Advocate for survivors within police, court and safeguarding processes.
- Work closely with health, social care, MARAC and community partners.
- Manage a varied caseload and maintain accurate, confidential records.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience supporting survivors or working with vulnerable adults/children.
- Strong risk assessment and crisis‑management skills.
- Confidence working within multi‑agency systems.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, including MARAC.
- Excellent communication skills with adults, children and young people.
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- IDVA qualification — or willingness to complete it.
