A Band 3 support worker is expected to perform a range of extended skills in support of the urology team. All care and supervision will be the responsibility of the urology nurses; nevertheless, the Band 3 will not always operate directly under supervision and the task at hand must fit within the parameters of a standard operating procedure. The Band 3 support worker will be a valuable team member who offers assistance to patients and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
Ware looking for a Health Care Assistant to join our Urology department within the Urology Centre at Epsom Hospital, fixed term in view of becoming a substantive post.
The Urology Centre is a very busy unit with a well-established friendly team of nurses and radiographers.
We need a unique person for this role that is positive,enthusiastic to learn, and works well within a team.
The successful candidate will have the full support of the very experienced Urology nurses within the department, in addition to a very engaged Consultant team who are all willing to support you to meet your training needs.
You will undertake a range of duties within the centre, providing a nursing assistant role to the multidisciplinary team and when necessary working without direct supervision to ensure the delivery of effective high quality care.
