Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Paint & Body Technician to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert painting and bodywork techniques. Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and priming to ensure optimal finish quality.
- Apply paint, lacquer, or other finishes using spray guns and hand tools, ensuring colour matching and smooth application.
- Repair or replace damaged panels, dents, and scratches using appropriate bodywork techniques.
- Use a variety of hand tools and power tools to disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as needed.
- Conduct quality checks on finished work to meet company standards and customer expectations.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist with heavy lifting of vehicle parts or components safely and efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience in vehicle painting and body repair or relevant technical training.
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of automotive systems and components.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as sanders, grinders, and paint sprayers.
- Experience with power tools used in bodywork repairs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Physical fitness suitable for prolonged standing, bending, and lifting tasks throughout the workday.
