Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Optical Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting customers with their optical needs, providing expert advice on eyewear and lenses, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting suitable eyewear based on their preferences and prescriptions
- Provide expert advice on lens options, frame styles, and colour choices to enhance customer satisfaction
- Conduct basic eye health assessments and explain optical procedures to clients
- Maintain accurate records of customer prescriptions and preferences
- Ensure the optical display area is tidy, organised, and visually appealing at all times
- Adjust / fit spectacles to patients & advise on how to care for them
- Assist with contact lens tasks including teaching patients how to insert & remove them
- Deliver exceptional customer service to foster long-term relationships with clients
Experience
- Being a good communicator that cares about patient needs truly adds to your job satisfaction
- Experience working in a retail or customer service environment is beneficial
- A proactive approach with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
