As part of the expansion of our Outstanding nursery and the opening of our new nursery annex, we're looking for a caring, enthusiastic and proactive Lunch-time Supervisor to join our friendly team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to play an important role in supporting children's wellbeing, independence and daily routines.
Role Details
- Location: Heaton House Nursery, Chorley Old Road, Bolton
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:30am – 2:45pm (desirable, Monday 9.00am to 2.45pm)
- Start Date: September 2026
About the Role
Working alongside our Early Years team, you will help make lunchtime a positive, enjoyable and meaningful part of the children's day.
You'll support children during mealtimes, encourage independence, promote positive social interactions and help create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting children during mealtimes and daily routines
- Encouraging independence, confidence and good manners
- Assisting with handwashing, hygiene and personal care routines
- Supervising children before and after lunch
- Helping to create a calm, welcoming and engaging environment
- Supporting children's wellbeing and safety at all times
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure smooth transitions throughout the day
- Following nursery policies relating to safeguarding, health and safety and food hygiene
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Has experience working with young children in a nursery, school or childcare setting
- Holds a qualification in Education relevant to Early Years i.e PGCE, Early Years Teacher Status (EYT/EYP), Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent
- Is caring, patient and enthusiastic
- Has a genuine passion for supporting children
- Works well as part of a team
- Builds positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and child welfare
