Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled sous chef to join our culinary team. As a sous chef , you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during meal preparation and cooking.
- Assist with the organisation of kitchen operations, including inventory management, stock rotation, staff management.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and maintain a smooth workflow.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed, sharing knowledge of culinary techniques and best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a sous chef or in a similar role within a restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food preparation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality meals.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues in a busy kitchen environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's operating hours.
