Evolve Motor Company is expanding its leadership structure and is seeking a high-level General Manager / Senior Operator to join our executive team.
This role is designed for an experienced operator who has previously run or heavily managed a car dealership or multi-department automotive business. You will be responsible for maintaining operational structure, performance accountability, and financial discipline across the organisation.
We already have managers within the business. This position is for someone who can oversee departments, implement systems, and drive operational performance at a high level.
Core Responsibilities
• Oversee sales operations, ensuring consistent performance, deal structure discipline, and conversion optimisation.
• Supervise financial performance and reporting, working with accounting systems to monitor margins, cash flow, and profitability.
• Manage and enforce operational standards across departments including:
- Sales
- Vehicle preparation team
- Quality control
- Department managers
• Implement and maintain scalable operational systems and reporting structures.
• Identify inefficiencies across the business and implement clear operational improvements.
• Ensure vehicles, processes, and customer experience meet strict quality standards.
• Maintain daily oversight of business performance, stock flow, and operational KPIs.
Systems & Platforms
Candidates should be comfortable operating within modern dealership systems including:
• Xero – accounts, financial reporting and reconciliation
• Click Dealer – vehicle stock management, CRM and sales pipeline
• Auction sourcing platforms such as BCA Marketplace, Manheim UK, and Aston Barclay
• Marketplace platforms including Auto Trader UK and CarGurus
Candidate Profile - We are specifically looking for individuals who:
• Have extensive dealership management experience
• Understand vehicle sourcing, margins, stock control, and deal structures
• Have previously managed teams, departments, and operational systems
• Are comfortable operating at a high level of responsibility and accountability
• Can bring structure, discipline, and leadership to a fast-moving automotive environment
This is not a junior management role. We are looking for someone capable of operating at a senior level within a growing automotive business.
Compensation:
£50,000 – £100,000+ per year
Performance-based structure tied to operational performance and business growth.
Only candidates with serious operational experience in the automotive sector will be considered.
