We are looking for committed Care Assistant to join our EMI Nursing Home to support elderly clients, who have a range of care needs.
We have a vacancies for a care assistants working shifts between the hours of 8am and 8pm or 8pm and 8am..
Our Care Assistants need to have a caring nature, are flexible and are able to work well within a team as well as on their own initiative.
The responsibility of our care assistants:
- Maintain our high standards of care according to service users individualised care plans
- Provide care and support in maintaining the independence of our service users
- Assist to carry out activities of daily living and supporting service users when required with washing, toileting, dressing, undressing and all other aspects of daily living
- Answering call bell systems and assisting as required.
- Answering the door and telephone and passing messages on promptly.
- Ensure that service users are treated with privacy, dignity and respect at all times.
- Undertaking domestic and laundry duties accordingly.
Experience and Benefits:
- Experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
- Registered with Social Care Wales or working towards this
- NVQ Level 2 in Care is preferable for registration, however new starters without this qualification will be supported to work towards this qualification
- Opportunity to further progress through NVQ levels
- 5.6 weeks holiday per year pro-rata
