Jam Shack is a modern inspired Caribbean takeaway and restaurant. We take pride in our ability to discover the most unique flavour's from the tropical island of the Caribbean and create tasteful, authentic dishes
We are looking for an innovative line chef to lead a section our kitchen and to help plan events. We're looking for someone who has an eye for detail and will be responsible for ensuring that all recipes are carefully prepared by utilising traditional cooking techniques.
Responsibilities
Ensure that all dishes are prepared to a high standard and are presented in an attractive and appealing manner.
Manage food and labour costs, ensuring that the kitchen is operating efficiently and effectively
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations
Collaborate with the restaurant manager and front-of-house staff to ensure that the restaurant is operating seamlessly and that customers are satisfied with their dining experience
Stay up-to-date with food trends and new culinary techniques to ensure that the restaurant's menu
remains innovative and exciting
Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain stock levels.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience working as a Chef in a high-volume restaurant
Proven ability to lead and manage a team of kitchen staff.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while
maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
knowledge of health and safety regulations
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends. Please note the job is only for 1 day a week - Sunday (10-12 hrs)
Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
