Service Operative – Production – Temp to Perm
Location: Basingstoke
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 6:00pm
Pay: £27,000 – £28,000 per annum
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Abacus Employment Services are recruiting for a Service Operative – Production to join our client based in Basingstoke.
This is a hands-on and varied role within a busy production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, while also supporting the production team by ensuring materials and components are supplied to the production lines when needed.
Duties will include:
- Cleaning production machinery and equipment to required hygiene standards
- General cleaning of the production area, including floors, surfaces and equipment
- Carrying out scheduled deep cleans of machinery and production areas
- Following cleaning schedules, procedures and completing relevant records
- Safely using and handling cleaning materials and chemicals
- Bringing materials and components to production lines
- Removing finished goods, waste and surplus materials
- Returning unused materials accurately to the correct stock locations
- Recording material movements using the Nulogy system
- Supporting stock accuracy through correct picking and put-away
- Assisting with production changeovers and general production duties as required
The ideal candidate will:
- Ideally have experience within a production, warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Be comfortable carrying out cleaning duties and manual handling
- Have good attention to detail and be able to follow procedures accurately
- Be reliable, punctual and hands-on
- Take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Be a strong team player with a flexible approach
Previous experience using warehouse or production systems would be advantageous, and experience with Nulogy would be a bonus, although full training will be provided.
