EPMcare is looking to enhance the package for a 19 year old boy with complex needs. The position will be based at the clients home on a waking night basis.
The clients needs include:
- tracheostomy care
- long term ventilation
- gastrostomy feeding
- ileostomy care
- catheter care
- medication management
- moving and handling with hoist
Also, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing and personal cares.
Provide companionship and engage in activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation. The client has a strict routine.
Accompany the client and family to appointments or outings as needed.
Maintain a clean and organised living environment for the individual you are assisting.
Previous experience in childcare, nursing home care, hospice care or a related field is preferred, but not essential for the correct candidate as full training and support will be provided.
A valid UK driving licence is essential.
