Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Recovery Support Worker to join our team. This role involves providing personalised support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, with a focus on fostering recovery, resilience, and independence. The ideal candidate will have experience in mentoring and will be committed to making a positive difference in clients’ lives. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised support plans tailored to each individual's mental health needs
- Assist clients in developing coping strategies and life skills to promote recovery
- Provide mentoring and encouragement to empower clients in their journey towards independence
- Support clients with daily activities, including socialisation, education, and employment pursuits
- Facilitate group activities and educational sessions aimed at skill development and confidence building
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals and social workers
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and support sessions in accordance with organisational policies
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all clients
Requirements
- Prior experience in mentoring or supporting individuals with mental health conditions
- Strong communication skills
- Empathy, patience, and excellent organisational abilities are essential
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications or training related to mental health support are advantageous
- A valid enhanced DBS on the update system is desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS will be applied for upon offer of employment if one is not in place on the update system.

The shift pattern is 42 hpw based on a two weekly rotation.
Week 1 - Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun
Week 2 - Wed, Thurs, Fri
The shifts are 12 hours a mixture of 8am-8pm or 10am-10pm and all staff will be required to complete rotations onto waking night shifts on the same pattern of days working 8pm-8am.
