Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Skilled Tiler to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of tiled surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will ensure high-quality finishes that meet precise specifications and safety standards. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret schematics and scopes of work
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate substrates to ensure optimal adhesion
- Cut tiles accurately using hand tools and power tools to fit specific spaces and designs
- Install tiles on floors, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces with precision and attention to detail
- Apply construction painting techniques when necessary to enhance tile finishes or prepare surfaces for installation
- Follow safety protocols diligently while handling tools such as tile cutters, grinders, drills, and other power tools
- Collaborate with carpenters, painters, and other tradespeople to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless execution
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on tiling or related trades such as carpentry or masonry
- Skilled in using hand tools including trowels, chisels, levels, and measuring tapes
- Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings for accurate project implementation
- Experience working with construction painting techniques is a plus
- Comfortable operating power tools safely in various work environments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics accurately for precise tile placement
