Gambado is opening a new venue in Forest Hill and we are seeking two experienced Duty Managers to support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the site. This is an opportunity to join a growing family entertainment business at the pre-opening stage and play a key role in establishing the venue's operational standards from launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as manager on duty in the General Manager's absence, holding full responsibility for the venue, its customers and its team
- Open and close the venue as keyholder, completing all opening and closing checks
- Uphold Gambado's brand, values and service standards, leading by example on the floor
- Support the training, coaching and induction of team members
- Manage staff rotas and daily deployment across play, café, reception and parties
- Support cash handling, banking, stock control and ordering
- Coordinate birthday parties, ensuring hosts, food and rooms are delivered on schedule
- Conduct spot checks against company service and safety standards
- Oversee incident reporting, the accident log and safeguarding procedures on shift
- Support the General Manager in achieving the venue's financial targets
- Ensure compliance with company policy, food safety, hygiene, and health and safety requirements at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience leading a team within a leisure, hospitality or customer-facing environment
- Sound judgement and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Confidence managing rotas, cash handling and stock routines
- A genuine, professional manner with children and families
