The Role
We are looking for a skilled Sushi Chef with professional experience in preparing high-quality sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes. The successful candidate must have excellent knife skills, attention to detail, and a strong passion for creating beautiful and delicious food.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality sushi and sashimi to a professional standard
- Ensure excellent food presentation and consistency
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
- Prepare and manage daily ingredients and food preparation
- Maintain a clean and organised sushi station
- Work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment
- Support and train junior team members when required
Requirements:
- Previous professional experience as a Sushi Chef
- Strong sushi-making and knife skills
- Knowledge of sushi, sashimi, and Japanese food preparation
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Reliable, hardworking, and passionate about food
