We are excited to be recruiting an Assistant Head Teacher to join our team at Parkview Academy. At times supporting the Head Teacher and other Senior Managers, the successful candidate will help provide the professional leadership that secures the school's success and improvement, ensuring high-quality education for all learners. They will guide our Lead Teachers, Teachers, Tutors and LSAs to ensure successful teaching and learning in line with the school's Curriculum Policy.
Alongside their leadership responsibilities, the post holder will maintain an active teaching role, supporting learners both on and off site. The role includes managing and developing staff, assisting with appraisals and delivering staff training, developing schemes of work and curriculum provision, conducting teacher observations and learning walks, maintaining and monitoring learner records and progress, and leading or assisting with EHCP annual reviews, PEP meetings and other meetings regarding learner welfare. We are looking for an experienced SEND leader, educated to degree level with Qualified Teacher Status (or a suitable equivalent) and strong middle and/or senior leadership experience in SEND, along with direct experience of successfully working towards Ofsted regulations. A full, current driving licence with use of a vehicle for work is essential.
Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
