About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Process Quality Engineer to join a leading manufacturing organization in Leeds. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in process quality, manufacturing processes, statistical analysis, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and GMP/ISO quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and improve measurement systems, including destructive and non-destructive testing methods for manufacturing processes.
- Create and maintain control plans based on product classification, defect types, process capability, and product risk.
- Develop, implement, and interpret process monitoring and process control methods.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data to support process improvements.
- Develop and implement standard and non-standard sampling plans.
- Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and evaluate the effectiveness of measurement systems and testing methods.
- Assess manufacturing process capability and identify common and special cause variations.
- Apply statistical tools such as SPC, DOE, and acceptance sampling techniques.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, and validation requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Process Quality Engineer or in a similar manufacturing quality role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Lean Manufacturing
- Six Sigma
- Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
- Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Experience developing control plans and process monitoring strategies.
- Good understanding of sampling plans and statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and validation regulations is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Industry Experience
Candidates with experience in Medical Devices, Biomedical, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, or other regulated manufacturing environments will be preferred.
