Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during patient consultations and procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality care
- Prepare and maintain orthodontic equipment, including medical imaging devices, to support accurate treatment planning
- Take and analyze dental impressions, radiographs, and 3D scans to aid in diagnosis and treatment development
- Educate patients on orthodontic treatments, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment care to promote lasting results
- Manage patient records meticulously, documenting procedures, progress notes, and treatment updates with attention to detail
- Support the application of dental appliances such as braces, aligners, retainers, and expanders with precision and care
- Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Orthodontic Therapist within dental or orthodontic settings
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the oral cavity and facial structures
- Proficiency in designing orthodontic appliances and understanding medical imaging techniques
- Familiarity with dental impression techniques and radiographic procedures
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and work seamlessly with the clinical team
- Ability to interpret medical images accurately for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Valid GDC certificate & Indemnity.
