Thetford
£14.50 per hour – Day Shifts
£15.00 per hour – Night Shifts
Zero-Hours | 12-Hour Day & Night Shifts
Please note: Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Applicants must already have the unrestricted Right to Work in the UK at the time of application.
We are recruiting reliable and committed Support Workers to join an established community-based care package in Thetford.
We currently have opportunities across both 12-hour day and night shifts, with a particular need to strengthen our night-time support and provide greater resilience within the existing team.
This could suit somebody looking for regular shifts alongside other commitments, as well as someone who wants the flexibility to provide additional cover for annual leave, sickness and other staffing requirements.
CURRENT SHIFT OPPORTUNITIES
- Day shifts: 08:00–20:00 – £14.50 per hour.
- Night shifts: 20:00–08:00 – £15.00 per hour.
- Night availability is particularly valuable, including regular Tuesday night availability.
- Day opportunities may include Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
- Additional sickness, annual leave and contingency shifts may also become available.
As this is a zero-hours opportunity, we can discuss your availability during screening and establish which current shifts and working patterns are suitable.
THE ROLE
As a Support Worker, you will provide safe, consistent and person-centred support in line with the individual's care plan, routines and agreed ways of working.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing reliable support across agreed day and/or night shifts.
- Building a positive, consistent and professional relationship with the person you support.
- Supporting established routines and promoting choice, dignity and independence.
- Following individual care plans, risk assessments and agreed ways of working.
- Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
- Completing clear and accurate care records.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues and the wider care team.
- Recognising concerns or changes and escalating them appropriately.
- Completing all required package-specific training and competency assessments before working independently.
ABOUT YOU
Consistency and reliability are particularly important for this package.
We are looking for Support Workers who are:
- Reliable and committed to the shifts they agree to work.
- Calm, patient and person-centred.
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts.

- Able to follow care plans and agreed ways of working.
