J. Cupples & Sons Ltd is a well-established and growing road sweeping company operating throughout Scotland. Due to continued expansion, we are looking to recruit an experienced Road Sweeper Driver / Operator to join our professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, has high standards, and wants to work with modern, well-maintained equipment.
The Role
- Operate a modern Scania road sweeper safely and professionally.
- Carry out daily vehicle and machinery inspections.
- Complete routine maintenance, including cleaning and greasing of the vehicle.
- Ensure the truck and equipment are kept clean and maintained to a high standard.
- Work independently as well as part of a team.
- Represent the company professionally on customer sites.
- Complete all paperwork and defect reporting accurately.
- Deliver high-quality workmanship while meeting programme deadlines.
- Using lance and gully pipe.
- power washing.
Essential Requirements
- Previous road sweeper operating experience.
- HGV Class 2 licence (Class 1 advantageous).
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- CSCS Card.
- Clean driving licence (maximum of 6 penalty points).
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance.
- Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Able to work alone using your own initiative.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Flexible to work days, nights and weekends when required.
