Overview
Thorney Park Golf Club is a busy 18 hole proprietary parkland golf club with a membership with pay and play golfers which is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Qualified Assistant Greenkeeper to join our experienced and ambitious greenkeeping team. This is an excellent opportunity for a greenkeeper to develop their career at an ambitious and forward thinking golf club.
The golf club is committed to continual improvements and is currently in the process of a course re-deign and re-modelling in preparation for the construction of a state of the art 2 tier driving range, new clubhouse and padel courts. The club has also just invested in a fleet of new machinery.
You will be reporting to the course manager and deputy course manager and will be required to undertake all aspects of golf course maintenance, including daily course preparation, turf maintenance & renovation and the safe operation of modern machinery.
We are looking for a candidate with the following:
- NVQ Level 2
- Spraying certificates desirable but not essential
- Chainsaw license desirable
- Full UK driving license
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- A flexible approach to working hours including 1 in 4 weekend mornings
